About Gornal DC
Built on opportunity, development and community — in the heart of the Black Country.
Gornal DC is a rapidly growing grassroots football club based in the heart of the Black Country, built on the foundations of opportunity, development, and community. With over 40 teams across boys', girls', and adult football – including a thriving Veterans and Ladies section – we are proud to provide inclusive football for players of all ages and abilities.
At the core of our club is a passion for developing young talent both on and off the pitch. Through our strong partnership with M11 Football Coaching, we offer a clear footballing pathway starting from our Development Centres, right through to competitive league teams and beyond. Whether your child is taking their first steps in the game, building confidence, or pushing toward elite grassroots football – Gornal DC has a place for them.
We are a club that values fairness, fun, and progress, underpinned by a team of dedicated volunteer coaches and committee members who give their all to make Gornal DC a place families can trust.
Our ambition is not just to grow in numbers, but to grow the game locally – to be a footballing hub for the area, where kids of all backgrounds can come together, learn, and thrive. Come and be part of the Gornal DC family.
Our ethos
At Gornal DC, we're not just playing a game; we're crafting futures. With a steadfast commitment to fostering growth, we ensure every child finds their place in the beautiful game.
Development
Every player progressing at their own pace, in the environment that suits them best.
Opportunity
A route into the game for every child, regardless of background or ability.
Community
A club families can trust, run by volunteers who care about more than results.
Transparency
Communication that is open, honest and clear with players, parents and supporters.
From first touch to competitive football
Our partnership with M11 Football Coaching gives the club something most grassroots setups do not have: a genuine pathway. Development Centres provide structure without pressure — a place to build confidence and technique.
From there, players move into competitive league teams when they are genuinely ready. And it works both ways: if a player is struggling in team football, the Development Centre is a step in the right direction, not a step back.
Qualified, checked and trained
All coaches at Gornal DC are UEFA and/or FA qualified. Enhanced DBS checks, safeguarding and first aid are held as standard — not as extras, but as the baseline for anyone taking a session at this club.
